The Ningguo Pumped Storage Power Station in Anhui Province is a key project to be implemented during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Located in Xiashi Town, Ningguo City, Anhui Province, the project has a total investment of approximately 7.8 billion yuan and consists primarily of an upper reservoir, a lower reservoir, a water conveyance system, an underground power house, and a switchyard. The power station is a daily-regulation pumped-storage hydroelectric plant with a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts. It is equipped with four reversible hydro-turbine generator units, each with a capacity of 300,000 kilowatts. The annual power generation capacity is 1.2 billion kilowatt-hours, while the annual pumping capacity is 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours.
